Game of Thrones is known for shocking pictures and killings. But according to Cersei actress Lena Headey we were denied viewers a pretty dreadful scene.
The HBO-hit series Game of Thrones is not exactly squeamish, as far as the explicit representation of sex, violence, murder and manslaughter is concerned. In spite of this, a horrible and disturbing scene from Season 7 was probably cut out. The at least announced Cersei actress Lena Headey at this year’s German Comic Con in Munich. The cut-out scenes simultaneously solve one of the biggest serial puzzles.
Sliced cersei scene in Season 7 Game of Thrones
As The Wrap reports, Lena Headey confessed at this year’s German Comic Con in Munich that an important and very sad scene from Season 7 of Game of Thrones was cut, concerning her pregnancy and the fate of her unborn baby:
In that I lost my baby and it was a really traumatic, momentous moment for Cersei, and he never made it to the show.
In a way, I loved doing that because I thought it would do more justice to her.
Cerseis pregnancy in Game of Thrones
What a statement! Cersei’s pregnancy was one of the most discussed puzzles of the 7th and 8th Squadron, which then ended meaninglessly in nothingness due to the death of the Lannister twins in the rubble of the Red Keep. Previously it had been speculated wildly whether Cerseis’ announcement in the 7th season to be pregnant was only a bluff to continue to bind Jaime (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) after their crimes and their opponents, such as her brother Tyrion (Peter Dinklage), to manipulate.
